American Pinball to Retire Houdini and Legends of Valhalla

On the heels of American Pinball announcing publicly that it is retiring its 2018 game Oktoberfest, it has informed distributers behind the scenes that it is retiring its 2017 game Houdini and its 2021 game Legends of Valhalla as well.

Specifically, AP told dealers that it is scheduled to produce another 15 Houdinis and 25 more Valhallas and that's it.

As for what it is building right now, American said that it currently has Barry O's BBQ Challenge on its first production line and Hot Wheels / Houdini on its second line.

With the retirement of three games this week, American Pinball's remaining catalog of games will include the aforementioned Barry O's BBQ, Hot Wheels, Galactic Tank Force and whatever new game it introduces next, likely Cuphead. I have heard that AP has not made any meaningful progress on games beyond the next one, but that is just rumor and speculation.

No one wants Barry-Os BBQ. No out outside of this hobby knows who he is and more than likely think he’s some sort of BBQ champion. They keep dropping the ball. There needs to be a massive change in this company or it will do the way of the dodo

Thats the only 2 good games they have!? Valhalla is on my wish list for my collection. Only game i like other than GTF, but GTF wont stay running more than a few days at a time, so thats out.

So are they shutting the doors then? These are pretty much their best selling titles, and they're retiring them, makes very little sense to me from a business standpoint
