Christopher Franchi to be Exclusive Artist for Spooky Pinball

Updated: Sep 19

Here's some interesting news to start the day off with. This morning Spooky Pinball announced that it has reached an agreement with the renowned pinball artist Christopher Franchi to exclusively do pinball art for its machines.

In the past Franchi has done art for Stern Pinball, with games such as Guardians of the Galaxy and Batman 66, Jersey Jack Pinball, with art for Godfather and Elton John and American Pinball's Galactic Tank Force.

Too bad I didn't know this when I wrote my Spooky Pinball article yesterday lol. This is big news for Spooky because Franchi's art packages are very highly regarded amongst pinball people.

Congratulations to Spooky and Chris on the agreement and Happy Birthday Mr. Franchi!

"It is with great pleasure that we are announcing the addition of Christopher Franchi to the Spooky Family! Mr. Franchi needs no introduction as you have seen his iconic work quickly make a lasting impression on the entire community.

We are honored to have Christopher's incredible talent dedicated solely to Spooky, but more importantly, to have Chris officially join the Spooky Family.

Get ready for the best custom art packages in pinball to EXCLUSIVELY be on Spooky Games.

Now, please join us in wishing our employee of the month a very special, Happy Birthday!!"

"I assume that this means that he is not doing the art for the upcoming Dutch Pinball Back to the Future pinball machine as had been rumored as a possibility."

I'm guessing that the art for BTTF was probably finished months ago. It could have been Franchi. He was supposed to do a podcast with Joe K a while ago but it hasn't happened yet.

That’s a good point. He supposedly did the art for He-Man already as well.

Franchi must really really like the licenses Spooky has secured. Only question is if this is a time-limited contract or permanent position. If it's permanent and Franchi is going all-in then Spooky must have locked down some really amazing licenses for the next several years that he wants to work on. EEEeeeeeenteresting.

Hopefully he's been brought in to do the art for The Goonies!!

For sure. If I was right about Goonies I bet that Franchi art for it would be amazing.
