Here's an interesting, albeit short story. OK, use of the word "almost" in the title is kind of a stretch, but it was discussed. According to a recent post by renowned pinball artist Christopher Franchi, prior to him becoming an exclusive artist for Spooky Pinball he tried to get American Pinball to build a pinball machine based on Pee-Wee Herman.
Supposedly, Franchi went as far as to meet with the actor who played Pee-Wee, Paul Reubens, about making a game prior to his passing. The plan never went anywhere and as you know American Pinball then cleaned house, Here is a mockup of potential art for the game that he created.
This actually reminds me of a funny story that I wrote about here back in 2022:
"This morning Pinball Expo shared images from today's tours of the Jersey Jack Pinball factory on its Facebook page. It looks like an amazing time. JJP even snuck what I assume is a little joke for the folks who like to ultra-analyze every factory picture for some sort of clue about upcoming games, a set of Pee Wee Herman Pinball plans laying right outside of the factory's "forbidden room." Well played, JJP LOL."

So what do you think? Would you be interested in a Pee-Wee pinball machine. I personally think that one based on his 1985 film Pee-Wee's Big Adventure would be the way to go if someone was going to make one. The IP does come with some baggage these days though. Still, I could see one selling fairly well.

I’m dying for a Peewee machine. Please. Please. Please. Someone make it happen!
Since we only get one wish per show, I wish this would happen!
would buy a pee wee playhouse or big adventure pinball in a heartbeat if done right. Just the art possiblities alone, I love that style.
Pee Wee's Playhouse was way better than Pee Wee's Adventure which was also great! Id put deposit money down on announcement day.
I love Pee Wee's Playhouse but that thing is just Fugly.
