One aspect of last weekend's fantastic Pintastic New England pinball show that I haven't talked about yet is the fantastic seminars that were conducted by various industry people. This morning I am going to talk about the Jersey Jack Pinball presentation at the show. Below are my notes from it, which contain several interesting pinball news items.

First off, I have news about the Jersey Jack's sought-after Pirates of the Caribbean pinball machine. There has been a lot of rumors lately that JJP may build the game again. Here's the direct quote from Jack Guarnieri on the subject:

"I'm not building Pirates again. It's not happening. There's rumors out there."

The seminar also contained some very interesting information about Jersey Jack Pinball's upcoming game, Harry Potter.

Jack talked about how new entry-level Arcade Edition ($9,999) of the game has the same graphics, toys and rules as the game's next level up, the Wizard Edition ($12,000). The upgrades on the Wizard Edition include Radcals, a shaker motor, Invisaglass, inner art blades and powder-coated color armor. JJP took a haircut on the Arcade level's margins to help get games on location. The Wizard Edition will be limited to 5,000 units.

The third trim level of the game is the Collector's Edition will cost $15,000. Jersey Jack is going to build as many CEs as are ordered by consumers and distributors. At a certain point orders will close and they will never build it again.

Jack was asked about the game's art:

Question: Are you locked into Warner Brothers assets or do you have original artwork?

Answer: We have original artwork on at least one model of the game.

He was also asked about the game's audio:

Question: Will the game have audio clips from the film or will they be muted.

Answer: You'll have both.

Jersey Jack already has several prototype Harry Potter machines built. They are currently finishing building Avatar. The assembly line is changing over to build Harry Potter. They want all of the distributors to have showroom games when they officially reveal the game sometime in the "next few weeks."

A few other tidbits include Jack saying that Harry Potter is designer Eric Meunier's fastest and best shooting game yet. Also, Joe Katz is on software and David Thiel on sound for the game.

I have embedded the entire presentation below for those who are interested in checking it out. It contains some great information and pictures about the history of Jersey Jack Pinball and Jack's past experience as a distributor.

I still want Pirates. We where just getting into pinball in 2018 and had no clue about all these companies making games until about a year later (we got our first 3 pinball machines used). We missed out on it. Sure you can buy one now if you want to sell your car or something lol. But seriously really wish they would do a run. I honestly think it would sell way more now than it did back then because of how many people want the game. Of course there must be a reason why they don't. I don't think it's because they don't want too, it is probably because of the wide body or Disney issue.

Thanks for stopping by! Sorry about the spelling error. Ironically for someone who does a lot of writing, spelling is not my forte. I fixed it.
