You never know where you’re going to find interesting information. Today I have pinball news from Australia, and no I’m not talking about the Haggis disaster either.
The popularity of pinball in Australia continues to grow. With that growth, all sorts of cool pinball shows are being created. This morning Brad Kierce reached out to me to share information about an upcoming show in Melbourne, Australia - naturally called the Melbourne Pinball Expo.
The fact that there’s an upcoming show with over 100 pinball machines is interesting in itself, but even more interesting is the list of games that will be at the event.
Jack Guarnieri, founder of Jersey Jack Pinball, will be at the event. According to the website:
“Special guest JJP himself will be at MPE to launch the next JJP title.”
The Melbourne show kicks off on November 30th. So we now have another data point about the launch date for Jersey Jack’s next game.
Back in May, I wrote on this site about how an interview with Jack in RePlay magazine said the following:
“Guarnieri also teased that Jersey Jack Pinball fans can expect a new game later this year with a likely IAAPA Expo release.”
This year, the IAAPA Show is being held from November 18th through the 22nd in Orlando, Florida.
I’m still hopeful that we might see JJP’s next game at Chicago Pinball Expo (10/15 - 10/19), but if we don’t we won’t have to wait long to see it.
Also of note from the Melbourne Pinball Expo website, it says that three more not yet released games - Dutch Pinball Exclusive’s Alice in Wonderland, Homepin’s Blues Brothers and a “Stern New Release” will be at the show.
