The trailer and featurette videos that Jersey Jack released yesterday were great and got me really fired up for the game, but this is the video that I personally have really been waiting for - Gameplay.
This morning JJP uploaded the first official gameplay video of Harry Potter to YouTube. Interestingly, the video has been up on YouTube for almost two hours and they still haven't shared it on their social media channels yet.
Jersey Jack has placed a Harry Potter CE machine in the lineup of games in the vestibule of its factory. A number of people have reported visiting the factory and being able to play the game there, including the distributor Great American Pinball which shared the below pictures and description of the game this morning.
"Just played The Harry Potter CE pinball machine and its is a masterpiece. Faster than most 1990's Bally Williams and faster than Theatre of Magic. Can that be possible. The Upper playfield in left corner is super fun, you can create a lot of loop combos and it has two kinetic posts that transfter the energy to little snitch balls that hit a target in the back. There are multiple ways to get up there and exit. Staircase mech is something I have never seen before. Similar to the Theatre Trunk where it rotates, but think of the labyrinth stair maze in the movie and in Harry potter movie. It allows you multiple different shots through out the game, in different directions. Like Godzilla premium when the building goes down and tbe ball is dirverted to a different path.. Eric said there is 16 ways the ball can enter or go through that staircase as turns 360 degrees. I think thats what he said. . The car in the tree is a pop bumper that goes up and down like the trees in Wizard of OZ. The Death Eater shot right below the Death Eater is satisfying, but you have to be quick for the 2nd shot to lock a ball before it times out. The Death Eater throws the ball right back at you with a fastball. Lighting fast. Faster than the kickback on Iron Man and Guardians. Both great games !The wand lock mech is cool similar to Wizard of Oz lock, which drops the balls into the cauldron. 3 ball lock. Every inch of the playfield is utilized by Eric. This is not a stop and go game but a flow monster with combos, strategic shots and careful planning on what to go for. Not a heavy stacking multiball game like JJP games of the past. You have to earn them, they are not given to you. Someone was worried that the ball might hit the flippers and drain out the left and right lanes. There are wire stoppers to prevent that. Also you can earn a Protego wallet diverter in the right lane by spelling Harry. Once you spell Harry and go through the middle right inlane, the Protego wall comes up and saves your ball from draining. This is Eric's best game to date and he has taken a lot of peoples feedback and produced his best game ever. Don't judge this game until you played it. Oh and Eric sprinkled glitter on the playfield. The flippers are powerful and fast, no weak shots or floatiness. Flippers are fast and strong. A couple times the ball hit the glass. Lots of power behind the mech, JJP listened. I only watched the 1st Harry Potter movie and I can tell you, you dont have to be a fan of the movies to enjoy this game. Similar to Stern's Iron Maiden. I wasn't a big fan of the band , heard a few songs, but that games is my favorite Best Stern game of all time!!! ANOTHER FLOW MONSTER! I now appreciate the band and the music and love that game. Congrats Eric Meunier for an outstanding game and pinball experience. Hats off to JJP for knocking it out of the park."
