Jersey Jack Pinball Tells Distributors They May Begin Promoting Harry Potter - UPDATE

This morning, Jersey Jack Pinball reached out to its distributors, informing them that they can officially begin promoting the Company's upcoming Harry Potter Pinball machine.

As has been rumored, the game will be sold in three trim levels, an entry-level "Arcade Edition", a "Wizard Edition" and a "Collector's Edition". Interestingly, according to recent statements by the company's founder Jack Guarnieri all three of the machines will have nearly identical gameplay. The higher trim levels will supposedly have differences in art, toppers and other extras.

No official pricing for the machines has been announced yet, but dealers were told that they will eventually be able to take non-refundable deposits of $1,000 for the Arcade and Wizard editions and $2,500 for the Collector's Edition. JJP does not seem to have placed a specific cap on how many CE machines it will build. The Collector's Edition will be produced early on in the build process.

I will continue to keep my ear to the ground for more details about the game. This is going to be a huge Spring for pinball releases.

UPDATE: The deposit amounts that I shared above are correct, but dealers are not allowed to take deposits yet. They will be in the near future.

Also, pricing for Harry Potter is rumored to be as followed:

Arcade Edition: $9,999

Wizard Edition: $12,000

Collector’s Edition: $15,000

First a non-refundable deposit, and then they'll show the game?? well Ok but I want to hear first if there is for sure no Mirco Steffen playfield in the CE, oterwise I'm out

Not surprising. They probably saw CGC taking money for games that won't ship for a really long time. And the hype for this title is huge so they want people to start committing to buying it even tho they haven't seen it. Crazy to me.

JJP must be desperate. This reads like a desperation move.
