Minutes ago, Pinball Brothers announced that it is going to officially reveal its fourth pinball machine, which is based on the 1987 SciFi / action film Predator on Wednesday, June 18th. In that announcement, we also got our first clear look at the game's cabinet.

As I have previously reported here, the game is a widebody that will have the following features:

GAME FEATURES:

  • Brutal Jungle War Wide-Body

  • 3 X flippers

  • Interactive choppa with physical ball lock

  • Interactive and attacking Predator

  • Ol’Painless minigun that spins and shoot balls with muzzle flashes

  • Truck and rebel camp with exploding light show

  • Fully lit and interactive Yautja Apron display

  • Wristblade gauntlet ramp

  • Camp attack ramp

  • Diverted choppa ramp

  • Scorpion loop ramp

  • Predator icon cut out black stealth trims

  • PREDATOR will be available with a "Trophy Package” incl. ”Starry Green Metallic" Jungle warfare trims, and lots of other ammunition.

I'm looking forward to seeing the game in action.

I'm not sure if it's been advertised anywhere yet, but Pinball Brothers is moving away from their proprietary "Razorback" hardware and using FAST boards with more conventional mechs (most importantly, Williams-style flipper assemblies) on Predator. The FAST guys were at NWPAS this past weekend with a bare Predator playfield showing their boards so this is public, albeit not spread around too much yet. This is huge news for me personally... ABBA + Queen have the worst flipper feel I've ever experienced, bar none, so it's awesome to see them moving away from that. Predator should flip more like Labyrinth + Dune (which are great IMO, since the rework FAST did a ~year back or so).

Hey. Thanks for the info! Now I have to go watch the FAST presentation at the NW show ;).

The use of Williams-style flippers and more conventional mechs is definitely great news. The new boards will help too.
