Spring is not only great because us folks in the Northeastern U.S. are finally not trapped inside with the winter doldrums any more, but also because it marks the beginning of pinball show season. I personally have attended two fantastic shows over the past month, Pintastic New England in Marlborough, Massachusetts and Pinfest in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
Up next on the show schedule is the great Golden State Pinball Festival. The event takes place from May 16th through the 18th at the Lodi Grape Festival Fairgrounds in Lodi, California. The event has a super festive vibe, people even camp out on the grounds and party all night.
According to the show website, they have 270 pinball machines and counting coming. People who bring a game for the free play area not only get free admission, they get a sweet swag box that contains all kinds of cool stuff (see below). Man, I want one. That dragon model is sweet.
Beyond all of the games, the show has all sorts of activities like a raffle, silent auction, swap meet, seminars and tournaments.
Below are a link to the event website and a couple of pictures of last year's event.

Love seeing the energy around the Golden State Pinball Festival — events like this keep the arcade spirit alive and kicking! There’s nothing like the clatter of flippers and flashing lights to bring people together. It’s cool how retro gaming culture still inspires new business ideas too. If you’re thinking about turning your passion into a project, this guide is worth a look https://www.softswiss.com/knowledge-base/start-online-casino-south-africa/. It’s focused on online casinos, but the principles apply across gaming ventures. Whether it’s pinball or pixels, there’s room to build something fun and profitable. Game on!
We’ll be there! Honestly, my favorite part of GSPF is after the show closes at night and we start the party. Tiltallica is my favorite competitive event of all time and it goes till like 4am. So many people set up tents in the campgrounds with pinball machines (there’s gotta be at least 20 machines out there, one of which will be mine).
Very cool!! Looks like a fun time!!
