Good morning everyone. Happy weekend! It’s time for odds and ends about the hobby that have been building up in my mind.
First up we have a Ninja Eclipse production update from Turner Pinball. Yesterday Turner shared that they are halfway through production of the game, so 50 of the 100 unit run have been built.

Tonight at 8:00 PM Eastern time the annual TWIPY pinball award ceremony will air Live from the awesome location Wormhole Pinball on YouTube, Twitch and Facebook. The Knapp Arcade website was nominated for a couple of categories, so I’ll be standing by for an appearance in case we win. Thanks to everyone who voted for the site. See you there.

Yesterday afternoon, Stern Pinball shared a special Factory Friday look at production of its latest cornerstone game, Dungeons and Deagons: The Tyrant’s Eye. This update was extra cool because it was longer than normal and the game’s designer Brian Eddy walked us through the production process.
The amount of work that goes into to each machine and the enormous size of Stern Pinball’s operation are truly mind boggling! The video shows off D&D Pros on the line. No word on whether the LE run is complete or if they are still waiting on a fix for the dragon mech, but I’m leaning towards the former. I’ve been told that the start of the Premium run is a week or two away.
Since it aired on Facebook, I can’t embed it here (darn Wix) so below is a link and a TON of screenshots from it.

Whew, that was a lot of pictures. What can I say, I love this stuff. It’s so cool. Hopefully you’re still here 😂
Also this week, Barrels of Fun and the European distributor RS Pinball shared pictures of the first Labyrinth machines arriving on the continent. Congratulations to those of you who have been waiting for your game.
Earlier this week, I shared news that Barrels was probably going to share a look at its next game with folks who are attending this weekend’s TWIPY awards show and factory tour. Word is that people who take the tour have to sign NDAs, so it doesn’t sound like the general public will be getting a peek at Game 2. Boooo 😂

Last up, Pedretti Gaming shared some really neat behind-the-scenes picture of production of its latest game Funhouse.
Man, all of these amazing production pictures would make a really cool book or magazine. I have that sort of stuff on the brain because I’ve been reading about pinball and arcade history non-stop lately. Maybe someday I’ll write one or at least redesign the Knapp Arcade website with a historical archive of them. That would be a neat project.

Speaking of plans for the future, I leave you with this cartoon from an old issue of GameRoom Magazine that I was reading yesterday.
When my youngest son graduates from high school in a couple of years, my wife and I plan to move out of New Jersey to somewhere with more land and build something like this lol. I’ll be able to work on a possible book or website redesign from there.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Thanks for sharing all the great photos. Really impressed with Turner Pinball. I know they are only building 100 of these initial games, but they are also building credibility with listening to the pinball public, making adjustments and now actually getting games out to new owners. Great job Chris Turner & team. I had wanted one of these but waited too long and missed out.
Jason best of luck on winning a TWIPY tonight, you deserve it.
