Spooky Pinball Reveals New Interactive Topper for Scooby-Doo

This morning, Spooky Pinball unexpectedly revealed a brand new, higher-end interactive topper for its Scooby-Doo Pinball machine. The new topper features:

  • New custom artwork by artist Brad Duke

  • An interactive sliding bookcase mechanism sculpted by Back Alley Creations

  • A "secret" LCD video screen

  • An RGB LED light show, brand new villain footage from the episode "What the Hex is Going On"

  • Exclusive Villain Capture and multiball animations

  • An exclusive "Topper Hallway Chase Scooby Snack Video Mode"

  • And full interactivity with the game

The toppers are scheduled to begin shipping later this month. They are priced at $969 plus $70 for shipping.

Man, am I on the fence on this one. Part of me definitely thinks that this should have already come with my Collector's edition, but I'm assuming it was still in development. I wish it wasn't as cool as it seems, cause the decision would be way easier.

Biggest problem I have is what am I supposed to do with my existing topper if this was to replace it? That's the problem when you have a replacement instead of just a straight addition.
