The other day in an article here I wondered aloud if Stern Pinball's new and improved Service Menu system that launched with King Kong was coming to its other games. We now have confirmation that it is, at least to some of them.

In its regular "Stern of the Union" address this afternoon, Stern announced that Metallica Remastered and Dungeons & Dragons will get the new menu system in their next code updates.

"Status of Code...

John Wick – The next update will be focused on implementing a new “Factions” and perk system.

The Uncanny X-Men – The next update will be focused on enhancing the “Future” and how it’s integrated into the overall gameplay experience.

Venom – The next update will include “Speaker Light” functionality as well as new Insider Connected achievements.

Metallica Remastered – The next update will be the “Menu ‘n Fixins” release, integrating the brand new service menu as well as additional fixes.

Dungeons & Dragons: The Tyrant’s Eye – The next update will be implementing the new “Character Progress” feature within Insider Connected, allowing players to view their character’s progress even when they are away from the game inside the IC app. This update also integrates the brand new service menu in addition to additional fixes and new Insider Connected achievements."

In other Stern news, word is that the company will conclude production of King Kong Limited Edition machines by the end of this week.

Next week King Kong Pro and Premium games that are destined for locations will hit the line. I'm looking forward to that so that I can put some more plays on it.

After two weeks or so after the location game production is complete non-location Pros and Premiums will hit the line.

So, after the recent flurry of big pinball releases, King Kong, Dune and likely in two to three weeks Harry Potter, what's next? My money is on Pinball Brothers' Predator pin.

Rumor has it that Predator was all ready to go for a Spring launch but Pinball Brothers decided to push it back for a number of reasons, one of which was the crowded Spring game launch schedule.

Look for an announcement about Predator Pinball sometime this summer.

Remember, that while I feel good about it, this is just based on rumors and is not guaranteed to be 100% accurate.
