BREAKING NEWS...
Today at noon Eastern, Stern Pinball officially revealed its new much-speculated about 50th Anniversary Edition JAWS pinball machine.
People have been asking me what I thought it would be, my guess was that it would be a JAWS Premium with a new translite, new cabinet art and a special badge. That's it. There has been some rumors out there that it will be an all-new game like the James Bond 60th, but I'm on record as saying that I'd be shocked if that was the case.
It turns out that Stern did add red powder coating to the game, which is cool and I definitely didn't expect. Stern also added glitter to the playfield and brass wireform ramps, which look great.
Having said that, Stern also doubled down on the iconic JAWS movie poster art, putting it both on the game's translite and side art. I actually think that I like the art for the original JAWS Premium better than the new Anniversary Edition.
According to Stern's George Gomez, the Anniversary Edition will only be available for sale this calendar year (2025). As I mentioned yesterday, Stern has informed dealers that production of the game begins late next week. Pricing for the game remains unchanged from recent Premium releases, $9,699.
Stern also released a code update for JAWS, Version 1.0, that includes new Wizard Modes - the "Say Ah!" Mini-Wizard Mode and the "Smile You Son of a" Final Wizard mode, as well as team play and co-op modes.
Also, for the month of July, Stern is going all in on JAWS with special Insider Connected badge challenges.
So what does everyone think about the special Anniversary Edition? I've definitely been considering getting a JAWS Premium myself, so I have a big choice to make between the two.
"Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water…” In celebration of the 50th anniversary of Jaws, legendary gaming and entertainment company, Stern Pinball, Inc. in collaboration with Universal Products & Experiences, are thrilled to announce a special update that will excite cinephiles, sharkheads and collectors alike. The celebration is marked with the debut of the new Jaws 50th Anniversary Premium Edition pinball machine, along with new content enhancements available across all connected Jaws-inspired machines.
To mark this golden anniversary, the Stern team has crafted an epic version of its popular Jaws pinball machine. The JAWS 50th Anniversary Premium Edition features a reimagined playfield with glitter-enhanced artwork and brass powder-coated wireform ramps. This collector’s item also boasts a distinctive 50th Anniversary hologram sticker along with a unique translite and cabinet decals. The pinball machine is outfitted with a bold “Blood Red” armor kit, including matching legs, hinges, front molding and side armor with standard premium shape.
“We’re honored to celebrate 50 years of Jaws with a new pinball experience that captures the heart and soul of the film,” said Seth Davis, President and CEO of Stern Pinball, Inc. “With the 50th Anniversary Premium Edition, we’ve added new cosmetic features that we know all pinball fans and Jaws enthusiasts will love just in time for the 4th of July!”
For Jaws fans looking for even more fun, Stern has created an updated code with new features, including Team Play and Co-op, where players can collaboratively play with friends, share progress and more. This update introduces new wizard modes including the “Wheel Award Final Wizard Mode” and the final “Smile you sonofa.... Wizard Mode.” You’re gonna need a bigger gameroom!"

Love it, selling my LE and ordering one right now, I hate the white on the LE
Another reason to buy from a boutique
The 1.0.0 code flyer shows you exactly what you need to see. The 50th is effing glorious in the red, white and blue! I hated the premium art package day 1. OG movie poster recreation FTW!
Same, I'm not a big fan of the doubling down on the movie poster or the red powdercoat.
On the other end, it will most likely be the rarest version of Jaws, so it should hold its value better than the regular premi.
I don't understand people who call this a lazy cash crab when it's the same price as the normal game, plus extra cosmetics. But whatever... I ordered one
