Stern Pinball Officially Confirms Metallica - Remastered UPDATED w/New Details

It’s been rumored for a while now that Stern Pinball is going to reveal a new version of its popular 2013 pinball machine Metallica at this year’s Chicago Pinball Expo. Well, now it has been officially confirmed!

Minutes ago, Stern dropped the following short teaser video on Facebook and YouTube. In it you can see a revised version of the game’s iconic Sparky figure as well as a reveal date…Wednesday, October 16th.

UPDATE: Here’s more details on the game:

• Full color LCD display

• “a modern take on the original masterpiece”

• Will have Insider Connected with achievements and badges

• There will be Premium and LE versions of the new game. The LE is limited to 500 units

• Pricing remains unchanged from recent releases, $9,699 for the Premium and $12,999 for the Limited Edition

• LE production will be first, starting in early November

• Premium production will begin in November right after the Limited Edition run
