After a two-year endeavor, one of the most famous arcades in the World, Brookfield Illinois' Galloping Ghost Arcade, has finalized the purchase of 19 parcels of land and buildings in the town from the estate of the former owner for $3 Million.
After opening the Galloping Ghost Arcade in 2010 with 120 games, the location's proprietor Doc Mac has expanded it to more than 930 games today. Another expansion, into the former nearby Canton Restaurant, will enable the arcade to grow to over 1,000 games on location.
Doc Mac stated that Galloping Ghost would like to acquire more properties to add parking for the arcade. Ultimately, Mack stated that he would like to move Galloping Ghost arcade from its current location at 9211 Ogden Ave., to the 9400 block of Ogden Avenue. If the move takes place Galloping Ghost would add two additional floors to the arcade to house its pinball collection and a LAN center dedicated to PC gaming and a video game museum.
Galloping Ghost acquires 19 parcels along Ogden Ave.
Can't wait to see how this goes, that's going to be a huge more and a massive reopening. Doc is awesome and I wish I'm the best in this massive expansion.

I am sorry, but I beg to differ...Doc does NOT have "one of the most famous arcades in the world".
Doc has "THE most famous arcade in the world!" Bar none! Todd N. Tuckey
