It appears as though the post from Pinside about a potential licensing issue with the Dragon’s Lair Pinball Project that I shared in my previous article was accurate.
A legal representative for Digital Leisure has issued a Cease and Desist order regarding the creation of this game. Given the tremendous amount of traffic that my initial article on the subject received, it certainly seems to me as though there is a market for a Dragon’s Lair pin. If bridges have not been burned during this process and the Homebrew game looks good, perhaps the project can be salvaged by working with an existing pinball manufacturer, such as American Pinball. That is just pure speculation on my part though given the popularity of the game and animation.
