Now this is music to my ears. In conjunction with the launch of its new 30th Anniversary Linited Edition Jurassic Park pinball machine, Stern Pinball is rolling out a brand new "30th Anniversary Quest" mode for all existing Jurassic Park pinball machines that are equipped with Insider Connected. The mode "will challenge players to collect Dinosaur DNA strands throughout the game to create amazing dinosaurs and earn badges."
Not only is Stern adding this new Quest, it's also bringing Co-Op mode and Team Play to all Jurassic Park pins. Very cool move by Stern to add this surprise update to all Jurassic Park games. It reminds me a lot of the Engine DJ DJ software that comes installed in Denon units. Denon and Engine DJ are beloved in the industry because they constantly improve and update their software for existing owners of all machines for years after purchase. So Kudos to Stern. I can't wait to try out the new modes on my original run Jurassic Park Premium.
In conjunction with the 30th Anniversary, Stern is also rolling out a new line of Jurassic Park themed merchandise including t-shirts, sweatpants, and hats.
As we discussed yesterday, Stern is making 500 new Liminyed Edition 30th Anniversary Jurassic Park pins at $12,999.
The 30th Anniversary Edition version of Jurassic Park includes "a brand-new exterior art package, full-color mirrored backglass, “Illusion Copper” powder-coated pinball armor, a custom designer-autographed bottom arch, inside art blades, upgraded audio system, anti-reflection pinball playfield glass, shaker motor, a sequentially numbered plaque, and a Certificate of Authenticity."
Below is the teaser video for the new pin:
