Minutes ago, Pinball Brothers uploaded a new nine minute gameplay video of its upcoming Predator pinball machine to its YouTube channel. This video marks the first official look at how Predator plays from the company, other than the initial release trailer. The previous gameplay video that was out there last week was internal footage that was released by a distributor without authorization.
I have embedded the video below and have included several screen captures from it. I specifically made sure to capture images from the "Get to the Choppa" multiball so that we can compare it to the initially leaked footage. The video for the multiball intro in this new code is actually fairly similar to the leaked version. Arnold Schwarzenegger is still shown in this version, it just cuts off his face. You can also still hear someone say the iconic phrase "Get to the Choppa" in this version, but I think that this one might be a voice actor rather than Arnold's voice? What do you think?
"Join our very own Daniel Janson for six minutes of pure, unfiltered jungle action as he plays through one of the game's multiballs and a Predator Attack Mode. Just raw gameplay, gatling guns, grenades, and fast-paced fun, shown exactly as it is (as you'll notice from the very first kamikaze-plunge-to-outlane-to-drain incident). We also want to send a massive thank you for your interest in Predator Pinball from the entire Pinball Brothers Predator Team. We're looking forward to showing you much more from the game."

Wonderland Amusements, the company that is doing a Kickstarter for a home pinball machine called Alice Goes to Wonderland, also released a new video update today.
My key takeaways from the video involve the game's production timeline. According to statements made in the video, company representatives are going from the United States to its factory in China in July to see and review the Final Engineering Prototype (FEP) of the game.
Once the FEP is approved, the factory will build a ten machine pilot run. These machines will be sent out to testers.
Wonderland still believes that it is on track to begin shipping games this year. Specifically they said that it is "looking like November"
The video included a little gameplay video as well. My main concerns from that were that the flippers still look like they're a little spongey. Also, I don't think that I saw either of the players hit the right ramp once. It looks like the angle for it is very difficult.
Beyond these two gameplay observations, personally my main concern about this game would be the tariff situation. Yes the current tariff on goods imported to the U.S. from china was lowered from the lofty 145% rate that it was at one point a month or two ago, but its still fairly high. The baseline tariff is now something like 30% for all goods and another 25% on top of that (55% total) for a whole host of items. That sort of tax has to have a massive impact upon the margins for a pinball machine that Wonderland is charging less than $1,000 for. Can they deliver the game for its originally stated price? We will see. I don't recall hearing them mention tariffs, at least they didn't in the most recent video.
