ARCADE REPORT: Sunshine Laundromat - Brooklyn, NY (July 2018)

Updated: Aug 26, 2021

Today my family and I finally made the trek to the legendary arcade / bar / actual laundromat in the Greenpoint section of Brooklyn, New York. And I must say, the place most certainly lived up to the hype.

This is the third Tri State Selfie League location that I have been fortunate enough to be able to visit and put up mediocre scores at this month. I’m trying to make up for low scores with sheer volume lol.

Sunshine is jam packed with awesome pinball machines, all in great cosmetic and playing condition. I was able to play a number of pins for the first time there, including the new Stern Supreme, Cactus Canyon and No Good Gophers. I have to say that despite the bad rap they get, both Supreme and Gophers were really fun games. The sounds on Supreme certainly felt as though they were pulled directly from a Star Wars movie.

Mid pinball session we took a dinner break. There is a number of Polish restaurants in the area. We tried out one a block or so away called Karczma and had some fantastic pirogies, potato pancakes, stuffed cabbage, kielbasa... so tasty, but so full.

If you ever are in the area, definitely make sure to check Sunshine out. The beer is cold and the pins are awesome. Here’s a million pictures from the trip. Enjoy 🙂
