Minutes ago, Stern Pinball put all of the speculation that it was going to show off something other than Venom at the upcoming San Diego Comic-Con to bed (sorry mysterious Reddit person).
Given the fact that Stern was all set to release Venom at last year's SD Comic-Con only to have that announcement pushed back by the need to release James Bond in conjunction with its anniversary per the licensor's wishes, this outcome has always made the most sense.
Stern Venom was designed by Brian Eddy with art by Zombie Yeti. Other than confirmation of the next cornerstone title from Stern, we don't receive a whole lot of details about the game from this initial trailer for the game. The phrases "We Are Venom" and "Hosting Soon" appear in the short clip.
Stern did state in the Stern Store section of its website and in its "Stern of the Union" e-mail update that it will have a limited number of Venom LE machines available for All-Access members to purchase. No specific pricing or release date was given yet, but the site does contain a countdown clock that as of this writing is at 7 days or so until Venom officially goes on sale next week (initially the clock was set to 7 hours instead of 7 days).
